I have an 82 chevy s-10?
I am replacing the plastic piece that goes under the clutch pedal. I think it is called a pawl kit .The kit has a plastic semi-round piece with little grooves(teeth) on it and another piece little piece that engages those teeth that is held in by a spring. This whole assembly allows for the clutch to be engaged when you push the pedal in. My question is , is there a another kit that is made out of another material besides plastic that will fit this truck. The problem is those grooves (teeth) aren't deep enough to keep the little plastic piece engaged long enough for the clutch to go in without slipping . help !
don't know if there's one from the gm parts catalog,but you might ck the camaro,firebird,or even a different year model of the s-10,also ck,to see if they're might be an after market part for this application,all it does is engage the electical system for the engine to start,heck you can make a switch your self to do this
