i need to do a physics project on any topic relating to physics.i tried to make dc motor but i could not get the coil to rotate the i tried to genetate current with a magnet but that didn't work
can anyone give me any ideas on a simple physics project that i can do.i can be about electricity of any thing else but i should not be too simple(by the way i dont have access to enamel plated copper wire just regular plastic coated wire)
i have to submit it in the next 3 days of i'll fail the term

One idea to consider - Pumped Storage.
When geography is suitable electric utilities set up pumped storage facilities. At night, when electric demand is low, they pump water from low spot to a high spot and store the water as potential energy. In the afternoon, when electric demand is high, they drain the water and generate electric power to feed the peak demand.
Now what can you do? Take this one step further. All communities have water towers that fill all day long and drain water as needed. The height is set to feed the water pressure need and nothign else. If you raise these towers substantially over the current height, and then install turbines in the drain line, you can generate electric power with the water flow. It would probably be enough to off set much of the electric power needed to pump the water initially - and water demand is typically equal to electric demand. This is a small scall pump storage.
Now set something up to show how brilliant the idea is.
